WEST OF SCOTLAND LEAGUES - Areas in search of new Secretary

The six West Of Scotland Areas have still to identify a new Secretary following their latest meeting last week.

The present Secretary, Alasdair Malcolm (Ayrshire) intimated at the last meeting in November that, following an expression of no confidence by representatives of one area, he would be stepping down at the March meeting, but intimated that he would continue to administer the affairs of the West Leagues until then.

Despite the four month window, no replacement was identified at last weeks meetings and consequently the six constituent areas have agreed to make further efforts over the next four weeks to fill the post.

In the interim, all enquiries relating to West Of Scotland Leagues business should be directed to the present Charman of the West Leagues association, John Main, via the Lanarkshire Secretary Les Innes at les.innes@virginmedia.com 

WEST OF SCOTLAND INTER COUNTY UNDER 18 LEAGUE _ Fixtures finalised for Wishart Trophy Competition

The fixtures for the 2015 West Of Scotland Inter County Under 18 League have been finalised.

Matches are played from May through to September.

Dumbartonshire open their defence of the David Wishart Trophy with a home match against 2014 runners up, Ayrshire, at Cardrosss.

All matches are played on Sundays, with an 11.00 a.m. start, unless otherwise stated.

WEST OF SCOTLAND INTER COUNTY A LEAGUE - Renfrewshire open title defence away to Glasgow

The fixtures for the 2015 West Of Scotland Inter County A League have been finalised.

Renfrewshire begin their title defence with an away match against Glasgow at Erskine in mid September, with all the matches in the championship scheduled to be completed by mid October.
